Almost all the information I've included here came from the X man page, the Xserver man page, the XFree86 man page, and the xdm man page. However, these sources can be a bit cryptic and the information is scattered between them.

Recently, I've also read the X Window System Administrator's Guide, which present excellent discussions on configuring X terminals, XDM, and running X on non-unix machines. I heavily recommend it.

• The Etherboot Web Page, which explains how you can set up Linux machines to boot from the network. Combined with the data here you can make some nice diskless Linux workstations.
